The Journal of Insect Science (https://academic.oup.com/jinsectscience ) will be publishing a Special Collection for this Workshop. Special Collections have the advantage of grouping publications on the topic of Mass Rearing & Quality Assurance in one journal issue. Since the Journal of Insect Science is double-blind peer-reviewed, now has an impact factor of 2.066, and is fully open access, a publication in this journal will provide excellent visibility for our Working Group.
Keynote speakers and presenters of oral communications and posters are all invited to submit their papers. Preparation of manuscripts should follow the guidelines of the Journal of Insect Science as set out in the Author Guidelines. Manuscripts should be submitted at latest by 30 January 2022
The Entomological Society of America (ESA) offers four full publication-charge fee waivers, two of which will be offered to the best student or early career presenters (oral and/or poster) at the workshop. The other two will be decided by the collection organizers. For all other authors, the ESA member rates ($1500) will be applied, regardless of ESA member status. There is the option for an author to become an ESA member ($151 for a regular member, $42 for a student member) and then utilize their one fee-waiver per year. Only one author per manuscript would need to become an ESA member, and that person would receive full ESA benefits and access to all ESA journals.
